EASTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Taconic boys soccer team Wednesday battled Easthampton to a scoreless tie, a result that left the Thunder two games under .500 with one game left in the regular season.

“The defense played great as did the goalie,” Taconic coach Jason Keller said. “We just could not finish. Tough because we needed this win to extend our season and everyone played their hearts out. Just no luck putting the ball into the net.”

Taconic (6-8-3) finishes the season on Thursday afternoon at home against Southwick.

Teams with a .500 record or better or ranked in the top 32 in their division advance to the state tournament.
