CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The Taconic and Hoosac Valley boys soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw on Friday afternoon.

Fidel Akroman scored in the 20th minute for the Hurricanes to erase a one-goal deficit created by Louis Naboba-Cespedes’ goal four minutes earlier.

“The game was a solid match,” Hoosac Valley coach Blair Mahar said. “Taconic controlled play at times and had us on our heels. We'd then pick it up and control the play and look to create chances but just couldn't find the net in the second half.”

Brodie Lanoue made seven saves for the Hurricanes.

Colby Sherman stopped two shots for Taconic (0-10-1), which hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.

Hoosac Valley (2-5-1) is at Wahconah on Monday night.
