Rich Leads Pittsfield Boys in Shutout Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jackson Rich scored twice and added an assist Thursday to lead the Pittsfield High boys soccer team to a 4-0 win over Wahconah at Kirvin Park.
 
Rich started the scoring midway through the first half when he converted a feed from Evan Dempsey. Rich added an unassisted goal about five minutes later.
 
In the second half, Dempsey gave the Generals (2-0) some insurance. Cristian Medez capped the scoring in the 78th minute with an assist from Rich.
 
Jon Bile stopped three shots to earn the shutout in goal.
 
Anthony Dondiego stopped 14 shots for Wahconah.
 
The Generals host Westfield on Saturday morning.
