WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – George Munemo had a hat trick Monday to lead the Mount Greylock boys soccer team to a 5-1 win over Salem Academy in the Division 5 State Tournament.
The Mounties jumped on top early with three goals in the first 20 minutes and led, 4-1, at half-time.
Simon Shin scored a goal for Mount Greylock, which also benefited from an own goal.
Declan Rogers had two assists, and Jon Morales set up a goal.
Mount Greylock keeper Lex Anagnos made two saves to earn the win.
The 13th-seeded Mounties (9-7-3) travel to face No. 4 Boston International (17-2) in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.
