Coaches: Boino Best in Berkshires

Wahconah’s Kevin Boino recently was selected the Most Valuable Player in Berkshire County boys soccer by the league’s coaches.

 

The senior forward was one of three Wahconah players picked for the all-Berkshire first team, along with midfielder Jeff Pullano and defender Sean Peters.

 

Pittsfield’s Harrison Rapant was chosen as the league’s top goalkeeper, and he is joined on the first team by defender Shane Tierney, midfielder Jackson Rich and forward Luis Higuera from the Generals.

 

Mount Greylock has three players on the all-league team: defender David Majetich, middie Benni McComish and forward Eric Hirsch.

 

Monument Mountain’s Alex Cami and Sam Plishtin were picked at defense and midfield, respectively. The first team is rounded out by defender Kevin Squires of Taconic and midfielder Mike Poplowski of St. Joseph.

 

The second team goalkeeper is Lenox’s Trevor Hathaway.

 

Second team defenders were Kyle Boyer (Lenox), Jake Foehl (Mount Greylock), Quinn Matthews (Pittsfield), Willie O’Brien (Wahconah) and Colin Rousseau (Hoosac Valley).

 

Second team midfielders were Sage Angell (Mount Everett), Isaac Graves (Monument), Nick Pow (Lee) and Mike Holmes and Mike Schnopp (Pittsfield).

 

Charlie Crall (St. Joe), Dan Flynn (Greylock) and Rowan Myers (Monument) were named second-team all-league at forward.
