Reyl's Hat Trick Leads Monument Mountain Boys Past Hoosac Valley

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Benj Ryel recorded a natural hat trick to open the game and send the Monument Mountain boys soccer team on to a 9-0 win over Hoosac Valley on opening day at Spartan Field on Wednesday.
 
Jackson Potoski had a goal and two assists, and Kieran Santos, Avery Manzolini, Lucien Firth, Parker Bell-Devaney and Nick Lussier each scored a goal for the Spartans (1-0).
 
Lucas Waterman stopped 12 shots for Hoosac Valley.
 
Eddie Boyko and Max Kohlkins split time in goal for Monument Mountain, which goes to Frontier on Friday.
 
Hoosac Valley (0-1) hosts Drury on Friday.
