Wahconah Boys Edge Millionaires
DALTON, Mass. – Isaac Gagne scored the match’s only goal Monday as the Wahconah boys soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Lenox.
Nate Beatty set up Gagne for the game-winner.
Lenox coach Jedd Hall said, despite the outcome, he was encouraged by his team’s energy.
“The second half was an absolute war from one end to the other with both sides having chances to score,” Hall said. “Wahconah used the mid field to play through multiple times but was shut down by the Lenox defense of Aydan Shove, Duke Jaehnig, Langston Cotton and Spencer Lanning.”
Michael McLaughlin made 15 saves for the Millionaires.
Lenox (1-6-2) goes to Easthampton on Wednesday looking to avenge a 2-1 loss from mid-September.
Wahconah (6-2-2) is home against Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
