Conyers Leads Pittsfield Girls Past Drury
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Caprese Conyers Friday scored a pair of goals to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team to a 4-2 win over Drury.
Abby Wong had a goal and an assist, and Sophia Schnackenberg scored a goal in the win.
"Shot selections were not the best, so we need to work on that, but we found the back of the net and got great play from Madi Pope, Giselle Cormier and Asia Smith-Moody in the center midfield," Pittsfield coach Molly West said. "Kyana Summers, defensively, was, as always, hard-nosed and played the correct angles."
Harolyn Castillo stopped four shots to earn the win in goal.
Megan McGrath and Lily Mirante each scored for the Blue Devils. Addy Sheppard saw the bulk of the time in goal in the loss.
Drury (0-2) hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
Pittsfield (2-0) goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
