Drury Girls Shut Out Mount Anthony

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Ella Bond Monday scored her 11th goal of the season, and the Drury girls soccer team went on to a 2-0 win over Mount Anthony.

Bond’s goal gave the Blue Devils a one-goal lead at half-time.

In the second half, Adamaris Sanchez’ corner kick set up Ashlyn Hayden for her first goal of the year.

Addisyn Sheppard stopped 14 shots to earn the shutout win in goal as Drury snapped a three-game skid.

“I thought we challenged the 50/50 balls better today which allowed us more scoring opportunities,” Drury coach Jason Howland said.

The Blue Devils (5-8) are at Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
