McCann Tech, Hoosac Girls Each Snap Losing Streaks
CHESHIRE, Mass. – The Hoosac Valley and McCann Tech girls soccer teams Thursday played to a 0-0 tie, and each team had something positive to take away.
For the Hurricanes (0-9-3), it marked the end of a seven-game losing streak and showed improvement from a 1-0 loss to the Hornets back on Sept. 16.
For McCann Tech (6-2-4), the tie ended a two-game skid in which it was outscored, 8-1.
“Great bounce back game after a tough loss,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “Bella [Lefevre] logged a shutout and we played hard on both sides of the ball against a resilient Hoosac squad. I’m proud of our team and this result bodes well for the last quarter of our season.”
Lefevre stopped 16 shots for the Hornets, who are off until next Thursday, when they host Ware.
The Hurricanes are at Lee on Friday.
