Drury Girls Edge Monument Mountain
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Tenley Wood scored an unassisted goal in the second half to break a tie and send the Drury girls soccer team on to a 2-1 win over Monument Mountain on Monday.
The Spartans struck first when Mercedes Raifstanger converted an assist from Juniper Raczkowski.
But the Blue Devils answered when Megan McGrath with an assist from Adamaris Sanchez to level the score at half-time.
Wood’s game-winning goal gave Drury (4-7-1) its second straight win and fourth in six games.
The Blue Devils will look to keep that momentum going on Thursday when they host Wahconah.
Monument Mountain (4-8) goes to Pittsfield on Thursday.
