Generals Blank Mount Anthony

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Abbey Wong had a hat trick Saturday to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team in a 4-0 win over Mount Anthony Union of Vermont at Kirvin Park.

 

Maddie Pope scored a goal and set up two more in the win, and Reese Albano registered a pair of assists.

 

“Offensively, we are moving the ball very well and the last two games finishing on shots,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “It feels good to be putting the ball in the net again. We scored a goal within the first two minutes in both halves through great pressure.”

 

Asia Smith-Moody helped anchor the backfield for the Generals in front of keeper Ella Kroboth, who made three saves to earn the shutout.

 

Pittsfield (3-4) hosts Lenox on Monday.
