SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – Isla DiMassimo had a double-double Thursday to lead the Taconic volleyball team to a 3-1 win over Frontier in the Thunder’s regular season finale.

DiMassimo served 10 aces and pulled up 18 digs to go with three kills in the 25-20, 11-25, 25-12, 25-17 win.

Taconic won on a night it had to go without offensive leader Gracelyn Cormier.

“We've had discussions where we compare the way we play so confidently and free in practice when we play 3 vs 3 to how tense and unsure we sometimes play in matches,” Thunder coach Lance Fyfe said. “Well, tonight we played like we were playing 3's, and everything just really flowed allowing us to play at a higher level.

“Mollie Crawford stepped into Gracie's spot and really left her mark leading Taconic with six kills to go with 10 digs, three aces and two assists.”

Kiara Burston led the Thunder with 12 assists.

Taconic (13-7) learns Tuesday who it will face in the first round of the Division 3 State Tournament.
