Lee, Taconic Tied Atop League Standings
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Lee High’s Devy Fillio picked a good time to roll the top game and top series by a girl in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League this winter.
Fillio posted a 253 game and 424 two-game series on Friday at Cove Lanes to lead Lee to a 2-1 win over McCann Tech that keeps the Wildcats in first place in the league standings.
Lee ended the day tied with Taconic, which took a 3-0 win from Mount Everett. Both are two points clear of McCann Tech with two meets left in the regular season.
On Friday, Jaden Parks and Maddie Kotek backed up Fillio’s performance. Parks rolled a 212 game that was best among the league’s boys and a 394 series. Kotek was right behind her teammate on the girls’ leaderboard with a 235 game and 384 series. And Hailey Hankey gave Lee three girls in the top four; she turned a 179 game and a 349 series.
For the Hornets, Connor Snow rolled a 205 game and 370 series in the loss.
Taconic earned its sweep over Mount Everett behind Danielle Mathes, who rolled a 188 game and 350 series that both placed third in among the girls on Friday.
Monument Mountain’s Mason Bailey rolled a 365 series to lead the Spartans to a 2-1 win over Pittsfield. The Generals were led by Jamari Carnute, who rolled the day’s best series among the boys (402) with a 205 game.
On Wednesday at Cove, Taconic and Lee face off at the Cove. McCann Tech takes on Monument Mountain, and Pittsfield plays Mount Everett.
