McCann Tech Dominates in Home Finale
ADAMS, Mass. – The McCann Tech girls and boys cross country teams Tuesday celebrated Senior Day with a couple of wins at Greylock Glen.
The Hornets hosted Libertas Charter and Pioneer Valley, neither of which could field enough runners to score team points.
McCann Tech harriers won both the girls’ and boys’ competitions.
Tucker Wirtes took first among the boys, clocking a time of 22 minutes, 35 seconds to finish 2:13 ahead of Libertas’ Robinson Ramos, who placed second.
In the girls’ race, senior Kamilia Kondel crossed the finish line in 25:23 as the Hornets swept the top five spots.
McCann Tech finishes the regular season next Wednesday at Mahar before getting ready for the Western Massachusetts Championships on Oct. 26 at Stanley Park in Westfield.
