Greenfield Golfers Top McCann Tech

GREENFIELD, Mass. -- Ryan Meehan and Jake Tower each collected a birdie for the McCann Tech golf team on Thursday, but the Hornets dropped a 16-8 decision to Greenfield at the Country Club of Greenfield.

 

Tyler Boissonneault earned medalist honors with a 3-over round of 39 on the front nine.

 

McCann picked up half its points from Brian Boudreau, who carded a 50 to win his match at No. 6 by 11 points.

 

Meehan recorded his birdie on the 130-yard, par-3 fifth hole. Tower birdied the 362-yard, par-4 ninth.

 

McCann Tech (2-1) hosts Frontier on Monday at Forest Park in Adams.
