Touray Leads Pittsfield Boys to Track and Field Win
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Samseedy Touray Saturday took first in the long jump and the triple jump to lead the Pittsfield boys track and field team to victory in a six-team meet at Mount Greylock.
The event featured a number of unique events that are not normally contested in the high school season, like the sprint and medley relays and a mixed 4-by-400 relay.
Touray’s dual wins helped the Generals finish with 87 points, edging runner-up Wahconah by three points.
Mount Greylock’s girls won their meet behind Katherine Goss, who took first in the long jump and ran on winning relays in the 800 sprint relay and 3-by-100 shuttle hurdle. Chase Hoey also ran on that shuttle hurdle quartet and won the long jump for the Mounties.
