Anello Leads Wahconah Golfers Past Hoosac Valley
DALTON, Mass. — Kesler Anello Friday carded a 37 to lead the Wahconah golf team to a 162-195 win over Hoosac Valley.
Anello birdied the fifth hole at Wahconah Country Club on his way to a 2-over-par performance.
Logan Aitken finished at 39, and Joe Hoffmannn carded a 42. Braylen Washburn and Caleb Colombari rounded out the scoring, each shooting a 44.
“We … had a real solid round from senior Joe Hoffmann,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “Despite a triple bogey 7 on the par-4 8th hole, he carded a 42 which is a real positive sign.”
Zach Mongeon led the Hurricanes, finishing at 40. Chase George and Brayden Clark came in with rounds of 47 and 48, respectively.
Wahconah (2-0) is at Mount Greylock on Tuesday, when Hoosac Valley (1-1) travels to face Taconic.
