Mount Greylock Takes Round 1 from Wahconah

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Jacob Hillman Tuesday carded an even par round of 35 on the back nine at Waubeeka Golf Links to lead Mount Greylock to a 160-166 win over Wahconah.
 
Hillman bogeyed the par-4 11th hole but got it back with a birdie on the 495-yard, par-5 17th.
 
He just missed out on medalist honors as Kesler Anello, also playing in the first group, birdied three holes on his way to a 1-under round of 34 for Wahconah.
 
Anello started his day with a birdie on the 221-yard, par-3 10th hole and later beat par on the 162-yard, par-3 16th. He then recorded a four on No. 17.
 
Mount Greylock (4-0) scored rounds from Kai Nafziger (37), Max Wied (42) and Oden Wojtkowski. Nafziger and Wied each recorded a birdie – on the 10th and 11th holes, respectively.
 
For Wahconah (2-1), Logan Aitken (43), Brayden Washburn (45) and Joe Hoffmann (44) rounded out the scoring.
 
Wahconah hosts Lee on Friday.
 
Mount Greylock is at Lenox on Thursday.
