Washburn Leads Wahconah Golfers Past Pittsfield

DALTON, Mass. – Braylen Washburn Tuesday birdied two of the first three holes en route to earning medalist honors and leading the Wahconah golf team to a 155-173 win over Pittsfield at Wahconah Country Club.
 
Washburn birdied the par-3 second hole and par-4 third for a strong start on his way to a 1-over round of 36.
 
“Braylen Washburn has burst on to the scene and has impressed me the past few weeks,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “He has played his way into the top of the lineup and now will be competing in the upcoming Fall Classic at Stockbridge. Proud of the steps he's made.”
 
Kesler Anello and Logan Aitken were right behind their teammate at 37 and 39, respectively. Caleb Colombari (43) rounded out the scoring in the win.
 
Jason Fields led Pittsfield with a 40.
 
The Generals (8-5) are off until Tuesday when they go to Lee.
 
Wahconah (8-4) is home against Monument Mountain on Friday.
