Mount Greylock Girls, Boys Win at Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. -- Senior Jacqueline Wells beat the field by more than a minute and a half Saturday to lead the Mount Greylock girls Nordic team to victory at Wahconah.
 
Wells covered the high school course in 15 minutes, 46 seconds.
 
Her nearest competition was teammate Annie Miller (17:21) as the Mounties took the top three podium positions. Lily McDermott came in third in 17:52, just ahead of fourth-place Haley Crosier (17:54) of host Wahconah.
 
Hoosac Valley's top girl was Vienna Mahar,who finished in 18:37.
 
In the boys race, Mount Greylock was dominant, taking home the top six places with Foster Savitsky leading the way.
 
Savitsky's winning time was 14:41, which was just one second ahead of teammate Corban Miller.
 
Gabe Gerry, Teague Murphy, Cedric Lemaire and Charlie McWeeny rounded out the top six for Mount Greylock.
 
Next across the line was Hoosac Valley's Corben Craig in a time of 15:20. He was chased by Wahconah's Fritz Sanders (15:51) in eighth place.
