Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Beat Pittsfield
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Charlotte Towler ground out a win at third singles Tuesday to lead the Mount Greylock girls tennis team to a 3-2 win over Pittsfield.
“Charlotte Towler came back from down 5-2 in the first set to win, 7-5, 6-1, clinching the final point for Greylock,” Mounties coach John Jacobbe said.
In the boys match, Shane Lactell won the only contested singles match for the Pittsfield boys, but Mount Greylock won the match, 4-1, thanks to a pair of victories in doubles play.
Mount Greylock’s boys host Lenox on Wednesday while its girls host Lee.
Pittsfield goes to Mount Everett on Thursday.
