Mount Greylock Boys Edge Lenox

LENOX, Mass. – Patrick Holland and Luke Irwin led the way Wednesday as the Mount Greylock boys cross country outdueled host Lenox for a 26-31 dual meet win on the Millionaires’ home course.

 

Holland finished in 16 minutes flat, and Irwin was right behind him in 16:03 to place second and third for the Mounties in the four-team meet.

 

Lenox’s Benjamin Harwood won the boys race with a time of 15:46.

 

The Mounties and Millionaires took the top 11 places in the field between them. Lenox had three of the top five finishers, but the Mounties’ Andrew Holland, Benjamin Mandel, Finnegan Voisin and Ryder Voisin were the next four runners across the line to give their team the win.

 

Mount Greylock also beat Mount Everett and Pittsfield. 

 

The Eagles’ Nicolas Bruno and J. Hunter Jeffries were the first two boys not from Lenox or Mount Greylock to finish in the boys race. Pittsfield’s Tyler Williams led the Generals with an 18th place finish.

 

Mount Greylock’s girls were dominant in wins over Lenox and Pittsfield.

 

The Mounties took four of the top places in the field with Brenna Lopez leading the way with a time of 18:17. Josephine Bay, Riley Mae Dickinson, Ani KoaMaya and Lucy Gregg in seventh rounded out the scoring for Mount Greylock.

 

Lenox got a third-place finish from Nora Schoeny on its way to a dual meet win over Pittsfield.

 

The Pittsfield girls were led by Margaret Hall, who placed 14th.
