Monument Mountain Explodes for 20 Hits in Win over Lenox

LENOX, Mass. -- Michael Goretti went 3-for-6 with a double and four RBIs Saturday to lead the Monument Mountain baseball team to a 19-3 win over Lenox.
 
The Spartans (2-0) pounded out 20 hits and scored in every inning to make a winner of Tyler Wade, who went four innings on the hill, allowing just one earned run while striking out nine.
 
Graham Herrick went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, and Max Joyner and Shaun Dupont each drove in a pair.
 
Herrick also pitched an inning of no-hit relief to close out the game. Dillon Tinker struck out five and gave up an earned run in two innings on the hill.
 
Lenox was led by Mike Abdalla, who went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
 
The Millionaires (0-2) travel to North Adams to face Drury on Monday.
