Generals Dominate West Springfield
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Morrie Fried went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs Wednesday to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to a 13-2 win over West Springfield.
Matthew Egan was 2-for-4, and Brenden Socie doubled and drove in three runs in a 10-hit attack for the Generals.
Simon Mele struck out seven in five scoreless innings on the mound. Jack Bellefontaine finished up, striking out one while giving up two unearned runs.
Pittsfield (5-1) is at Drury on Saturday.
