Central Baseball Downs Pittsfield
PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Aiden Archeval struck out 10 in five innings of work Thursday as the Springfield Central baseball team beat Pittsfield, 7-2, in a game shortened due to darkness.
Alexander Made and Edward Fernandez each went 2-for-3 with a double for the Golden Eagles, who completed a regular season sweep of the Generals.
Jason Codey homered, and David Wildgoose and Morrie Fried each doubled for Pittsfield in the loss.
Matthew Egan and Jason Fields split time on the mound, striking out seven and allowing five earned runs.
PIttsfield (13-3) is back home on Tuesday against Minnechaug.
