McCann Tech Wins at Smith Vocational
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Musa Thompson and Brayden Villnave each scored five goals Friday to lead the McCann Tech boys lacrosse team to a 13-4 win over Smith Vocational.
Thompson assisted on a pair of goals, and Dallas Ritcher finished with two goals and two assists.
“Good bounce back game after an emotional Hoosac game,” McCann Tech coach Marshall Maxwell said, referring to Wednesday’s loss in Cheshire. “We challenged the team to start fast as it was our third game in four days. Musa Thomson and Brayden Villnave got us going with five goals a piece. Our defense didn’t allow a goal in three of the four quarters. They continue to collectively improve.”
Brody Rhinemiller stopped 10 shots to earn the win in goal.
McCann Tech (6-3) is at Monson on Saturday.
