ADAMS, Mass. -- The Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team Wednesday shone under the lights at Renfrew Park, posting a 12-4 win over Lee.

"Total team effort all around -- from the way we moved the ball up the field to defending the middle third to the defensive end with communication and tenacity," Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. "Abi Disbrow [five saves] continues to make fantastic saves when needed."

Alie Mendel scored three goals and set up three more, and Brooke DiGennaro and Clauda Bresett each scored a pair for the Hurricanes.

Lee's Nicole Gamberoni had two goals and an assist, and Ashley Barnes and Ann Macchi each scored a goal.

"For Lee, Khali Zabian was instriumental in getting their offense going in the second half," Meczywor said.

Mika Frasher stopped 10 shots for the Wildcats (0-6), who host Springfield Central on Friday.

Hoosac Valley (6-1) goes to Pittsfield on Friday.
