Wahconah Girls Lacrosse Edges West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Emmy Cote scored four goals and assisted on another Friday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to a 9-8 win over West Springfield.

“Our defense played a great game,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “We executed our midfield transition well. This led to a balanced offense. It was a great game by everyone.”

Jordan Budaj scored twice, and Wahconah got a goal apiece from Lily Howes, Perin Genaway and Suzanne Stefanik.

Katie Bachli made six saves to earn the win for Wahconah (9-2), which hosts Bennington, Vt.’s, Mount Anthony on Monday.
