DALTON, Mass. -- Perin Genaway and Emmy Cote scored four goals apiece Tuesday to lead the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to an 18-7 win over Hoosac Valley.

Hannah Rueger had a hat trick, and Jordan Budaj scored two for Wachonah, which got seven saves from Katie Bachli.

“Wahconah did a great job of winning draws so it took us some time to get into an offensive set, Hoosac coach Molly Meczywor said. “In terms of programs, they are a few years ahead of us. They do the little things right. It was good for my girls to see where we need to 'grow' into.”

Claudia Bresett scored three, and Alie Mendel added a pair for the Hurricanes. Abi Disbrow stopped 11 shots in the Hoosac goal.

Wahconah (10-3) has a rematch with Mount Greylock on Thursday. Hoosac Valley (4-4) hosts Pope Francis on Monday.
