Granby Girls Lacrosse Edges Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Ella Laliberte scored eight goals Monday to lead the Granby girls lacrosse team to a 13-11 win over Wahconah.
 
“Today the girls had great tenacity and dealt with adversity well,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “They never gave up and continued to play hard. Anna Doyle, Olivia Roberts, Ava Massaro and Lexi McNally did a fantastic job causing turnovers, scoring goals and moving the ball.
 
Granby's Ella Laliberte was very hard to stop, credit to her and her skills.”
 
Doyle scored five goals for Wahconah, which got two goals apiece from McNally and Roberts.
 
Phalyn Renderer stopped 18 shots in the Wahconah goal.
 
Wahconah (1-2) goes to Belchertown on Tuesday.
