SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The South Hadley girls lacrosse team Wednesday outscored Wahconah, 7-1, in the second half to earn a 9-7 win.

“Today we played a great first half, and then we struggled to maintain possession of the ball,” Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. “Those turnovers led to goals for them. They did a nice job of winning the draw which is so important to this game where possession is everything.”

Ava Massaro and Anna Doyle each had a hat trick, and Phalyn Renderer stopped 12 shots in the loss.

Wahconah (3-4) goes to Granby on Monday.
