Mount Greylock Holds Off Drury Rally to Grab First Win

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- For the second day in a row, the Mount Greylock softball team took a lead into the bottom of the sixth inning.
 
This time, the Mounties held on for the win.
 
Kat Hoffstedt went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI to lead the Mounties in a 5-4 win over Drury.
 
Mount Greylock took control early with a run in the first an a run in the second and had a 4-0 lead through four.
 
The Mounties tacked on one more in the sixth to take a 5-0 lead before the Blue Devils rallied, scoring three in the sixth and one in the fourth.
 
Drury’s offense was led by Anna Dix, who went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Katie Booth struck out three while allowing just one earned run to take the loss for the Blue Devils.
 
For the Mounties, Brodi Rosier went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Jordyn Codding was had a hit and scored twice.
 
Lily Lesieur earned the win in the circle, striking out four.
 
Mount Greylock (1-1) goes to Lenox on Saturday.
 
Drury (0-1) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.
