Mount Everett Softball Falls to Gateway

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – The Gateway softball team pulled ahead late to earn a 30-6 win in five innings at Mount Everett on Thursday morning.
 
The Eagles led, 3-2, after the first inning, when Fiona Pollock singled and scored a run, and Hannah Heaton delivered an RBI single.
 
But the Gators went back on top with six runs in the top of the second and broke the game open with four in the fourth and broke the game open with 10 in the third and 10 in the fourth, to take a 26-5 lead.
 
Mount Everett (2-9) hosts Lee on Saturday.
