Blue Devils Blank Eagles on Richardson No-Hitter

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Evelyn Richardson struck out eight and walked one in a five-inning, complete-game no-hitter Monday as the Drury softball team beat Mount Everett, 16-0.

 

Marie Fachini tripled and drove in three runs, and Vivian Vareschi went 1-for-1 with two RBIs to lead the offense for Drury, which took advantage of 12 walks and five errors.

 

The Blue Devils (5-12) finish the regular season 5-12 and wait to learn who they will play in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.

 

Mount Everett (3-14) hosts Westfield Tech on Wednesday.
