CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley freshman Kali Puppolo struck out 10 and walked two in pitching a no-hit, 12-0, win over Lenox on Tuesday.

"She was great on the mound, keeping the Lenox battrs to no hits and to nothing further than a grounder or a popup to the infield that the defense swallowed up to keep Kali in control of the game, " Hoosac coach Morgan Shafer said.

Hoosac scored in each of their four at-bats in a game shortened to five innings after the 'Canes scored six in the bottom of the fourth.

Sienna Witherell stole home, and Hannah Stanfield scored on a passed ball in the fourth-inning rally.

Caroline Tomkowicz went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Witherell scored three runs for the 'Canes.

Hoosac hosts Wahconah on Friday.
