Witek, Bishop Lead Hoosac as 'Canes Clinch Softball Title

ADAMS, Mass. -- Rylynn Witek and Riley Bishop each went 2-for-4 Wednesday to lead the Hoosac Valley softball team to a 16-4 win over Lenox as the Hurricanes clinched the Berkshire County South Division title.
 
Gabby Vincent drove in a pair of runs, and Hoosac Valley took advantage of eight errors to score 11 unearned runs.
 
Madi Puppolo earned the win in the circle, striking out seven and allowing three earned runs.
 
Morgan Levesque went 2-for-3, and Claire Lynch, Kasey Vallee and Maddie Barenski each drove in a run for the Millionaires.
 
Lenox (8-11) hosts Mount Everett on Friday.
 
Hoosac Valley (14-3) has one game left to play, a remake of the May 22 contest at Monument Mountain on a day to be determined.
