PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Bianchi/Barbarotta Foundation has named two Wahconah Regional High School seniors as its female and male Athletes of the Year.

Madison McCarthy, the reigning Division 4 Girls Basketball Player of the Year, earned the county-wide award along with Wahconah’s Cooper Calvert, the county record-holder in the high jump.

Each standout student-athlete is a three-sport star at Wahconah. Both play soccer; Calvert plays basketball in the winter, and McCarthy is a member of the school’s Western Massachusetts title-winning Basketball team.

The Foundation will recognize both at its annual Spaghetti Dinner and Awards Presentation on Friday, June 12, at the Polish Falcon Hall, 32 Bel Air Ave.
