Hoosac Boys Down Renaissance on the Road

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Matt Koperniak scored 22 points to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 64-60 win over Renaissance in the Hurricanes' season opener on Monday.

 

Jameson Coughlan scored 17 for the 'Canes who held a narrow 26-25 lead at half-time and created a slight cushion with a 13-9 third quarter.

 

Arvon Gordon scored 15 points, and Tawandi Caldwell added 12 for Renaissance.

 

Hoosac hosts Lenox on Wednesday.
