Training Available for Prospective Basketball Officials

The county's high school basketball officials are encouraging anyone interested in picking up a whistle to look into the IAABO University.

 

The International Association of Approved Basketball Officials runs an online course at a cost of $110 to start training interested referees.

 

The fee includes your first year of registration into the IAABO.

 

The local IAABO Board No. 25 is calling for interested men and women who want to stay physically active in the winter, become a leader on the court and join a team of basketball lovers.

 

Officials earn $75 or more per game.
