Lee Edges Monument Mountain

LEE, Mass. – Giana Carlino scored 19 points, and the Lee girls basketball team held off a fourth-quarter comeback bid by Monument Mountain to secure a 54-52 win on Tuesday.
 
The Spartans outscored Lee, 36-22, in the second half but could not overcome the Wildcats’ 32-16 half-time advantage.
 
Payton Simmons, Ava Lucy and Mike Diller each scored seven for Lee.
 
Mallory Lucey scored 15 points, and Addison Kramek added 13 for Monument Mountain.
 
The Spartans (5-11) are at home against Belchertown on Wednesday.
 
Lee (13-3) hosts Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
