This week's iBerkshires.com/Bedard Bros. Athletes of the Week each have led their teams to unbeaten starts and rivalry wins.

No team had a bigger week than the Drury girls basketball team, and no player had a bigger night on Friday than Blue Devils ninth-grader Ella Bond.

Bond scored 20 of her team's 55 points in a road win at Hoosac Valley on Friday two nights after she had a team-high nine points in a 37-31 win over Wahconah.

Each of those wins came against teams that Drury had not beaten since 2015 adn 2016, respectively.

Bond hit five 3-pointers in the fourth quarter against the Hurricanes, including three in the fourth quarter, when Drury outscored Hoosac Valley by a margin of 18-4 to pull away for the 55-30 win.

"Our game is to push the ball and hit 3s and make layups," Drury coach Ian Downey said. "We're not going to short ourselves on shooting 3s in games, but that's only because I feel like we have a lot of people who can shoot it. Lily [Mirante] and Delaney [Hayden] had four apiece in our first game. Ella also hit one that first game."

Drury (3-0) is back at home on Monday for another Suburban League contest against Frontier, which also owns a win at Hoosac Valley this season.

Pittsfield's boys have faced nothing but Berkshire County League teams so far this winter, and that trend continues on Monday when they face a showdown at home against Wahconah.

Both teams came into that game unbeaten -- the Generals largely due to Braiden Sullivan's monster game on Friday night against Monument Mountain.

Sullivan connected seven times from beyond the 3-point arc and scored 29 points in the win over the Spartans.

He had just one basket in Pittsfield's first win, but the Generals needed every point in a 58-56 road win at Drury.

Pittsfield (2-0) and Wahconah (4-0) are set to tip off at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Home of the Dome.
