Amherst Girls Down Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Erin Klaes scored 16 points on Saturday afternoon to lead the Amherst girls basketball team to a 43-29 win over Mount Everett.
 
Kelsey Netzer scored eight points, and Madeline Von Ruden and Madison Ullrich each added seven for the Eagles, who got off to a strong start with a 12-5 first quarter but managed just two points in the second quarter to go to the break down 15-14.
 
Mount Everett (9-8), which lost for the second time since losing Gwendolyn Carpenter to a season ending ACL injury, goes to Lenox on Tuesday night.
