CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Hampshire Regional's Maggie Rubeck scored 16 points Saturday to lead her team to a 48-19 win over Mount Greylock at the Coaches Vs. Cancer Showcase at Hoosac Valley High School.

Maddie Pond scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds in the win.

And rebounds were a big part of the equation for Hampshire.

The designated visitors outrebounded the Mounties by a margin of 52-31.

Five different Hampshire players finished with at least five rebounds apiece.

Hampshire could not get its offense untracked until the second quarter, but when it did, there was no looking back.

Rubeck scored twice in a 10-0 run to open the second and open up a 19-5 lead.

It was a 26-9 spread at half-time.

The Mounties got a little life coming out of the locker room when Madison Ross (eight points) scored on back-to-back possessions to trim the margin back to 13 points.

But Hampshire scored the next 10 points to finish the third quarter with a 23-point bulge.

Mount Greylock (5-7) takes a two-game losing streak into Tuesday's home game against Lenox.
