Monument Girls Top Mount Greylock

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Despite 18 points and 10 rebounds by Mount Greylock's Lucy Barrett, the Monument Mountain Spartans handed the Mounties a 50-47 loss on Monday in the season opener for both teams.

Arianna Walden scored 15 and grabbed five steals, and Jenna Benzinger had 10 rebounds for Mount Greylock.

The Mounties go to Wahconah on Friday. Monument Mountain hosts Lee on Thursday.
