Conyers, Phillips Lift Taconic Girls Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ciany Conyers scored 21 points Wednesday to lead the Taconic girls basketball team to a 61-46 win over Pittsfield.
 
Ahliya Phillips scored 19, and Taea Bramer added eight in the win.
 
For the second straight game, Taconic caught fire in the second quarter, this time outscoring the Generals, 24-8, to take a 38-23 lead into the locker room.
 
Alexi Sondrini scored 18, and Emery Sime added 10 for Pittsfield, which got nine rebounds from Jordyn Lummus.
 
The Generals (1-2) are off until after Christmas, when they go to Amsterdam, N.Y., to face Troy.
 
Taconic (3-0) also takes a break until after the holiday. It hosts Lenox on Dec. 27.
