Pittsfield Girls Knock Off Scarsdale in Hoophall Final

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Caprese Conyers Sunday scored 26 points to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 54-45 win over Scarsdale, N.Y., in the championship round of their Hoophall Invitational bracket.

 

Harolyn Castillo scored 13 for the Generals, who took control of the game with a 10-5 third quarter in which Conyers scored six points.

 

Asia Smith-Moody hit a pair of 3-pointers to finish with six points. Kyana Summers also had six points to go with 10 rebounds and nine steals.

 

Pittsfield (8-2) goes to Frontier on Wednesday.
