Walker Leads Taconic Girls to Third Straight Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Janee Walker scored 12 points and hit a 3-pointer in the decisive fourth quarter to lift Taconic’s girls basketball team to a 39-36 win over Lenox on Friday night.
 
Taconic trailed by three heading into the fourth but outscored the Millionaires, 11-5, in the final eight minutes of the game.
 
Shalee Conyers scored nine points, and Ashley Rufo and Jasmine Rodriguez added six apiece in the win.
 
Lenox’s Jade Alward scored a game-high 13, and Mollie Herrick added eight.
 
Taconic (3-1) takes a three-game winning streak into the holiday break and will resume its season on Jan. 3 at Chicopee.
 
Lenox (3-2) is at Mount Everett on Wednesday in the first round of the South County Tournament.
