Prior to serving as Interim Director, Holland served on the board of Hancock Shaker Village since 2020 and most recently served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Alan Paul was named the new Artistic Director of Barrington Stage Company, Kimberley Bush Tomio was named the Executive Director of the Berkshire Museum, and Nathaniel "Nat" Silver assumed the role of Executive Director and CEO of Hancock Shaker Village.
The cultural institution is in the very early stages of planning but intends to include a vault, library, reading room, digital media room, and climate-controlled collection storage in the final design.
"Swept: This Work I Will Do" opens in the Chace Gallery on June 17 with a reception and talk for Hancock Shaker Village members; the exhibition opens to the public with regular admission on June 18.
The artists will collaborate with the village's collection of Shaker material culture, and the team who care for and activate the historic property, including the blacksmith, the gardener, and chefs.
