MCLA Career Services To Host Annual Graduate School Fair

NORTH ADAMS, Mass – The Career Services Center at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) will host its annual Graduate School Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the first floor lobby of Bowman Hall.

Graduate schools participating in this year’s fair include: American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Antioch University of New England Suffolk University, Assumption College, MCLA, Simmons College of Arts and Sciences, Southern New Hampshire University, Springfield College, Roger Williams University, Union Institute and University, University at Albany – School of Public Health, University of New Haven, Utica College, Western New England College School of Law and Westfield State College.

These institutions represent graduate study in social work, business administration, communications, criminal justice, education, special education, psychology, public administration, English, sports medicine, environmental studies and more.

SteepleCats Earn First Win of Season

SANFORD, Maine -- Niklas Pavia struck out nine in six innings on the mound Sunday to pitch the North Adams SteepleCats to their first win of the season, an 8-2 victory over the Mainers in Game One of a double-header.
 
Nicolas LoBello doubled and drove in three runs, and Colson Loughren was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
 
Matthew Colella tripled, and Bobby Stang doubled in a seven-hit attack for the SteepleCats.
 
Nolan Currier closed the game with an inning of scoreless relief.
 
North Adams (1-6) and Sanford (6-3) were scheduled to play another seven-inning game on Sunday night.
 
The SteepleCats come home on Tuesday to take on the Newport Gulls.
